- NBCU has released a first look of the one-time reunion special of '30 Rock' set to air July 16 and which finds Liz Lemon accosting a mask-less New Yorker.
The teaser finds Lemon accosting a New Yorker who fails to wear a mask in public, as well a glimpse of what to expect from the all-new hourlong reunion special.
The meta-episode and one-time special event features former cast members Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, and Jack McBrayer reprise their roles from the award-winning NBC comedy series, which ended its run in 2013 after seven seasons. The episode pivots around Lemon and Jack Donaghy who reunite the TGS team to help Kenneth Parcell with an advertiser presentation.
“At NBCUniversal, we’re excited to produce an upfront that reflects a new reality and celebrates our relationship with viewers and advertisers alike,” said Linda Yaccarino, chairman, advertising & partnerships at NBCUniversal.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic disrupting in-person events, NBCU has released the teaser to draw attention from advertisers and the press to the reunion special set to air Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 8 PM ET on NBC, and will stream the next day on the Peacock platform.
“We’re all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC,” said 30 Rock creators Fey and Robert Carlock. “To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone.”
