- The laugh-filled and existential rom-com 'Palm Springs' starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti is set to debut July 10 on Hulu.
Sundance’s biggest selling picture Palm Springs starring Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother) and Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons is set to premiere on Hulu on July 10.
The irreverent, insanely inventive and certified fresh new romantic comedy sees carefree Nyles (Samberg) and reluctant maid of honor Sarah (Milioti) have a chance encounter at a destination wedding in Palm Springs and soon find themselves stuck in tedium trap of a timeless loop triggered by a surreal interruption that often questions the meaning of life. The pair embrace the idea that nothing matters and begins to wreak spirited havoc on the never-ending wedding celebration.
Samberg and Milioti are accompanied by Peter Gallagher, Simmons, Camila Mendes (Riverdale), and Meredith Hagner (Search Party).
The laugh-filled, existential yet heartfelt story arises in rare form of its kind and category through the meaning of its message around the nature of love and loneliness, and how and with whom we will choose to spend life’s routine.
Hulu and partner Neon purchased the feature film for $17,500,000.69 at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, setting a record as the highest paid film from Sundance. The film was directed by Max Barbakow, written by Andy Siara, and produced by Samberg alongside Limelight and Lonely Island Classics.
