TVXQ’s Max Changmin Releases New Solo EP ‘Devil’

TVXQ!’s Max Changmin has released his second solo EP, Devil, via SM Entertainment. Find the EP here.

“Devil” is a remake of a song of the same name released by Swedish artist and producer Alex Runo in 2021. Max Changmin gave the track his own twist by writing the Korean lyrics, suiting the heavy, dark atmosphere of the melody. Additionally, he also penned lyrics for the album’s other highlight track, “Alien.” Throughout the EP, he experiments with various styles and genres from Latin to dreamy, atmospheric pop.

Max Changmin first teased the EP with a performance of “Fever” at the SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA concert, which was the most viewed Korean concert with over 51 million streams from 161 regions worldwide. He then shared a promotional video with imagery inspired by classic films, setting the scene for the project.
