Tokyo Disneyland to Reopen July 1

Tokyo Disneyland has joined the club and has finally received its reopening date. Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea will reopen on July 1.

The parks have been closed since February due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the last with a reopen date announced but won’t be the last to reopen.

Although Disney did not mention but besides the announcement, it can be assumed that the parks will follow the structure Disney has been following in their other parks with advanced ticket reservations requires, limited capacity, and face masks.

Shanghai Disneyland, which closed in January, reopened first in mid-May and helped guide Disney towards a guideline to reopen the other parks. The parks will implement safety procedures that include enhanced sanitization and social distancing markers.

Disneyland Paris was also announced Monday it would reopen on July 15. Hong Kong Disneyland reopened on June 18. Walt Disney World plans to do phased reopenings with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopening on July 11 and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July on July 15. Disneyland in California will reopen last on July 17, the anniversary of the park, if the plans get approved by authorities.

With Tokyo Disneyland now given a date, all the Disney parks around the world will be reopening their doors to guests this summer.
