Tokyo Disney Parks Extend Closures

According to the Tokyo Disney website, Tokyo Disney parks will extend their closures due to Covid-19. Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will remain closed until April 20th. The four hotels on the property will be closed from April 1st to the 20th. Officials on the website announced, “The reopening of the parks is planned for April 20 or beyond.”

The Tokyo Disney parks closed back on February 29th and were originally only to be closed until March 15th, then extended to early April until the current extension. This new extension closes hotels which were not closed before. The parks will extend annual passes and will allow guests to use unused tickets for a later date.

As of right now, all the Disney parks around the world are closed. In the United States, decisions about Disney parks in Anaheim, CA, and Orlando, FL have not been made yet. Universal Studios announced extensions to their original closures extending to April. Disney parks in the United States are still set to be closed until the end of March.
