Our scene opens up with the familiar suns of Tattoine, the camera panning left to reveal Jabba’s palace. Jabba’s palace was home to Jabba the Hutt, crime lord in the outer rim, until the Hutt met his demise at the hands of Princess Leia Organa in 1983’s Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. We are brought into the famous throne room with a familiar Twil’lek on the throne, Bib Fortuna. The peace is abruptly brought to an end as a guard is shot dead as a mysterious figure descends the staircase, revealed to be Finnick Shan, Flanked by Boba Fett. As Fett enters the throne room, Fortuna addresses him as an old friend only to be shot and killed with a single blaster bolt. Boba ascends to the throne, knocking the dead Twil’ick off the seat, claiming it for himself. As Shan joins him at his side, the scene fades to black announcing The Book of Boba Fett, to be released December 2021 on Disney+.
The Book of Boba Fett joins the list of new Star Wars content coming in the next few years.
