The 1975 has announced they will cancel its scheduled performances for 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The band had scheduled performances across Europe in February and March and a few performances at U.S. festivals in August and September.
“We are really sorry to announce that we have made the decision to cancel all scheduled touring for 2021,” said the band in a statement across social media.
Although fans may have to wait longer to see the band live, lead singer Matty Healy shared on Instagram that they are in the studio working on a new album. The band released their fourth album Notes on a Conditional Form in May 2020.
Fans will receive refunds for at their point of purchase. The band did not state when or if shows will be rescheduled.
