The 1975 have announced a new release date for their new album “Notes on a Conditional Form.” The band announced on Twitter that the album will be released on May 22nd and have begun pre-orders. With the official artwork for the album being released, it is also mentioned that “Notes on a Conditional Form” will have 22 tracks.

This album’s journey has not been smooth. Its released date has been pushed three times, originally set to release May 2019 after the release of the album “A Brief Inquiry of Online Relationships” which released in November 2018. The album was then pushed back to February 21st, 2020, then on April 24th, 2020 despite releasing the single “The 1975” on July 2019 which featured Greta Thunberg. The name of the album has also changed a couple of times from “Music for Cars” and “Drive Like You Do.”

In an interview with Beats 1, frontman Matty Healy explained that “Music for Cars” would be an era instead of a single album. This era will include the album “A Brief Inquiry of Online Relationships” and “Notes on a Conditional Form” once it’s released.
