The biggest night of country music, the CMA Awards, took place on Wednesday night adapting to the ever-changing landscape of live events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hosted by Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker after Carrie Underwood ended her run in the spot, the ceremony took place live from Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn. The event highlighted the biggest names in country music.

The ceremony was stacked with performances including Morgan Wallen, who won New Artist of the Year, and CMA debuts by Chris Tomlin and Justin Bieber, the latter who performed an acoustic version of “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay from an empty Hollywood Bowl. Miranda Lambert who led with seven nominations also took to the stage to perform.

Eric Church took home the biggest award of the night for Entertainer of the Year. Luke Combs earned the Album of the Year award for his album What You See Is What You Get. Lambert took home the award for Music Video of the Year and Maren Morris who won big with three awards including Female Vocalist of the Year, where she acknowledged the Black women in Country who deserved recognition as well.
