- Saint Raymond returns with a new single called 'Right Way Round.'
Saint Raymond is back with a new single titled “Right Way Round.” The song will be featured in this upcoming sophomore album due next year via Cooking Vinyl.
Saint Raymond released his debut album Young Blood in 2015 which garnered much attention to the artist which lead him to three consecutive sold-out nights at the Scala, performing at shows as a guest to Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran, and Haim, plus landmark festival sets at Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds. The album landed at No. 8 in the album charts and has accumulated millions of streams. The singer also released two EP’s A Light That Binds and 3 since then.
The synth, indie-pop anthem “Right Way Round” is a peek to his new album and all the experiences and new ideas he’s been able to create. Fans will begin to anticipate the direction of the album. It explored the feelings of anxiousness and self-doubt with a beat that is hard to miss.
“Right Way Round is about feeling like you’re on the outside, like you’re floating through life and it’s making you feel alone. But the more you scratch the surface and look around you, realise that there’s a load of us who feel like we’re different, on the outside and unsure of the future and that there’s beauty in that,” says Saint Raymond.
An animated lyric video, created by directors Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta, was released alongside the single. Alice Bloomfield made the animations that depicts a man sat in an old-school pub setting.
Originally from Nottingham, Saint Raymond whose real name is Callum Burrows broke out to the scene as a teenager when his EP Escapade hit No.3 on iTunes. His debut album Young Blood was produced by Jacknife Lee (The Killers).
