Pat Lok presents Gone is Yesterday (Remixes), out this October via globally-renowned imprint and fashion brand Kitsune Musique. Preceded by recent EP Gone is Yesterday, the stellar remix package features a clutch established and rising stars including mysterious Aussie producer/singer BRUX, Atlanta’s house DJ / producer Treasure Fingers, fast-rising Chinese producer Tsunano and newcomer Obli.
Speaking of the remixes, Pat says: “BRUX is one of my favourite new acts. I love this take, minimal and dark yet still futuristic in its groove and I have been a fan of Treasure Fingers since the beginning! Taking us back to clubland with his signature house treatment. Obli’s outstanding re-imagining of No One takes us into an ethereal fantasy world. I adore it and Tsunano’s done one of the more creative remixes I’ve heard! The vocals add a totally new dimension to the song, this version is definitely in my DJ sets.”
The EP Gone Is Yesterday featured various sampled percussion and melodic inspirations from his native Singapore and its surrounding geographical region, representing who Pat Lok is at the core. Channeling the intoxicating rhythm and groove that has become synonymous with his productions, the LA-based producer’s signature blend of euphoric disco, house, and futuristic R&B is on tantalizing display throughout his body of work.
