Super Nintendo World is coming to Universal Studios Japan in early 2021!
Nintendo has announced on Wednesday that the long-awaited theme park would open next year featuring Mario Kart and Yoshi-themed rides and attractions, themed dining and shopping offerings alongside other experiences that will only be found at Universal Studios Japan.
The news shared over Twitter includes four concept art pieces showcasing the immersive, colorful and interactive land based on the Super Mario games and characters.
Ahead of the opening of the first expansive Nintendo theme park, Universal Studios Japan will be offering a sneak peek by opening the world’s first Mario Café & Store in the park’s Hollywood Area on October 16.
Full of Mario charm, the new café and store will showcase exclusive themed food and original merchandise. Guests will be able to savor on Super Mario pancake sandwiches and cream sodas or sip on their favorite drink inside a Super Mushroom Souvenir Bottle.
The immersive experience into the world of Super Nintendo is complete with a special Power-Up Band that allows guests to jump, hit blocks, collect virtual coins and items in the real world.
