The 21st annual Newport Beach Film Festival has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film festival was supposed to take place from April 23 through April 30 but will now take place from August 6 through August 13.
The Newport Beach Film Festival is a week-long event in Orange County that showcases over 350 movies and television shows from over 50 countries. Throughout the week several events such as red carpets, galas, seminars, and Q&A panels are held. The Orange County Film Society will be suspending all screenings.
Eugene Levy was set to receive the festival’s first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award. The Newport Beach Film Festival is one of the few festivals that chose to reschedule instead of canceling altogether.
