With Thanksgiving two weeks away, we must stuff ourselves with new music before we eat all the pie. Here is this week’s New Music Friday.
ATARASHII GAKKO! – SNACKTIME
ATARASHII GAKKO! have released their first EP, SNACKTIME via 88rising. The EP was produced by Money Mark and comes with the new music video for “Free Your Mind.” The group recently made their mark with an electric performance at the Head In The Clouds Festival.
Lo Moon – Dream Never Dies
Lo Moon returns with “Dream Never Dies” their first song in three years. Frontman Matt Lowell says about the song, “As I get older, I’ve become more and more nostalgic about my youth. I had way less anxiety, I didn’t fear losing the people closest to me, or have to face the bigger questions of life. Hope and optimism were just a little bit easier back then. I work hard not to let the complexities of life suck the hope out of me. This song, if nothing else, is a reminder to try my best and not let that happen.”
Beau Diako – Fretless ft. Bas, Etta Bond
Beau Diako teams up with Bas and Etta Bond for “Fretless.” He says, “Bas and Etta have been two of my favourites for a long time and I’m so honoured that they were keen to make something together.”
NHC – Devil That You Know and Lazy Eyes
NHC —comprised of legendary musicians Dave Navarro, Taylor Hawkins, and Chris Chaney— come together to release two new songs “Devil That You Know” and “Lazy Eyes.” The guys – who all knew each other socially as staples of the Los Angeles rock world – came together over the last year and just played, giving themselves no rules or limits.
