Maluma tops the Billboard Latin Airplay chart with “Pa’ Ti” his collaboration with Jennifer Lopez, marking his twentieth Latin Airplay No. 1. The track is the sixth #1 song for the artist on the Billboard chart this year, making 2020 the most successful Latin Airplay year of his career. Maluma also has the No. 1 and No. 2 tracks on the Latin Airplay chart with mega-hit “Hawái” at No. 2, a feat he has now achieved three times the first was in 2017 with “Sin Contrato” at No. 1 and “Chantaje” at No. 2.
While Maluma has also scored No. 1’s this year with his romantic “ADMV” and “Que Pena” with J Balvin, “Por Fa” with Feid, Sech, Nicky Jam, J Quiles, J Balvin, “Feel the Beat” with Black Eyed Peas, this has been the year of “Hawái” which notched at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart this year for nine consecutive weeks; No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Streaming Songs chart for ten weeks; and No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart for four weeks. With “Hawái” Maluma has been at No. 1 on YouTube’s chart of the most viewed videos worldwide for multiple weeks. He has also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart. Internationally “Hawái” has reached No. 1 on radio, Spotify and Apple Music in 17+ countries.
Last month Maluma and The Weeknd released a one-of-a-kind remix of “Hawaí.” With The Weeknd‘s signature vocals it marks the first time the GRAMMY Award-winning artist sings in Spanish.
The artist’s massive success has happened in a very short time for the twenty-six-year-old who earned his first Billboard Latin Airplay No. 1 a little over five years ago, on November 21, 2015, with “Borro Cassette.”
