Kimmy Schmidt is back and is going interactive. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend will be out on Netflix on May 12 and it’s going to be Kimmy’s biggest adventure yet.
Ellie Kemper reprices her role as Kimmy who needs to make it to her wedding on time. Viewers will be able to make decisions for Kimmy as the Reverend (Jon Hamm) is trying to put a stop to it. The decisions the viewers make will take Kimmy on a different route, making each experience different.
The original cast including Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane will also reprise their roles with Daniel Radcliffe, Sara Chase, Lauren Adams, Donna Maria, Amy Sedaris, Michael Carlsen, Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell, Jack McBrayer, and Johnny Knoxville.
Netflix has expanded its interactive offerings. One of its most popular interactive content became Black Mirror: Bandersnatch but also includes Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale, Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile, Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, Minecraft: Story Mode, Bear Grylls’ You vs. Wild, Captain Underpants Epic Choice-O-Rama, and Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is created and executive produce by Tina Fey (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock) and Robert Carlock (Saturday Night Live, Friends, 30 Rock). It has earned 18 Primetime Emmy Award nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series for each of its seasons.
