- The Disney+ 'Home Alone' reboot has added Kenan Thompson, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell to its cast.
Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Ally Maki (Toy Story 4), and Chris Parnell (Archer) are the latest to join the cast of Disney+’s reboot of Home Alone.
The new additions join the previously announced cast members Archie Yates, Rob Delaney, and Ellie Kemper. The reboot of the classic 20th Century Fox franchise will be directed by Dan Mazer. Production for the film shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic with no date to restart or when it plans to release.
While there is no logline available yet the new Home Alone film is believed to follow a young boy (Yates) at war with a couple —Kemper and Delaney— over a stolen figurine.
The film was announced last year as part of the content that would be coming to Disney+. The productions of The Little Mermaid, The Last Duel, Nightmare Alley, and Peter Pan & Wendy and Shrunk have also been halted due to the pandemic.
Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson serve as producers for the movie.
