Jackson Wooten Releases ‘October Song’

Jackson Wooten has dropped his new single “October Song.” The single, recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, and produced by Jason Bennett is the fourth from his upcoming album, A New Child, that is due to release on February 26.

Wooten says, “I was sitting in my cold and dingy apartment when I began writing this song. God, I felt like crap. I was stuck in a fog, and I couldn’t get out. ‘October Song’ became an emotional release of everything I was feeling at the time – depression, existential anxiety, hope, self-pity, and a new found love. Letting this strange concoction of emotions exist somewhere outside of me helped me let go. It was freeing. I hope others get the same sense of freedom when listening to ‘October Song’.”

Wooten is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. In his music, Jackson combines heart-felt poems with moving melodies into a sound that meets at the intersection of folk, rock, and pop. After his first three releases of Dirt, Honey, and Misty in 2018 and 2019, Jackson has spent the last year and a half writing and producing his debut LP, A New Child.
