As the world continues to deal with Covid-19, the film industry has been rocked heavily. Films have been postponed, released on-demand, and whole festivals have been canceled.
Because of this, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced changes to the long-standing rules for the Golden Globes. Previously, a film must have had a theater run will now expand to include being released through subscription streaming services, subscription cable channels, and broadcast TV.
These significant changes will soon impact others to do the same but will also change the landscape of movies that are eligible to be nominated.
