While their new special album Don’t Fight The Feeling has debuted on top of the iTunes chart in the U.S., EXO is coming back strong. On the official EXO News Japan Twitter, EXO has announced the EXO FILMLIVE Japan Tour with the date of July through October 2021.
The concert film will re-edit live footage from EXO’s World Tour Japan performances after the group made their Japan debut.
While the tweet dropped with almost no fanfare, the news has traveled across social media as fans are excited to see more from the group. More information will be added once SM Entertainment shares details regarding the tour.
EXO released Don’t Fight The Feeling on June 7 with five tracks. This is their first release since their acclaimed 2019 full-length album OBSESSION. As of June 6, EXO has achieved a new personal record and career milestone by recording over 1.22 million album pre-orders for Don’t Fight the Feeling, becoming the second artist to achieve this feat and breaking the coveted million-seller barrier for the sixth time. The album is available here.
EXO, which is derived from “EXOPLANET,” a term denoting the planets outside the solar system, is a 9-member K-pop boy band. After making their anticipated debut in April 2012, EXO is now one of the “biggest K-pop boy bands in the world.” Forbes noted their immense popularity on its “Korea Power Celebrity List,” naming them one of the Top 5 K-pop groups in 2014, 2017, and 2018.
