Disney California Adventure reportedly will reopen mid-March with a food and beverage event. The “limited-time ticketed experience” will allow parkgoers to return to experience DCA as the parks have been closed since March 2020.
Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock announced the event in a letter to employees commemorating the 20th anniversary of California Adventure. The event will bring back over 1,000 park workers.
No official dates or the name of the event have been announced yet and attractions will not be open during the event, focusing only on the food experiences. The new land Avengers Campus will also not be part of the event. New health guidelines will be implemented which could be similar to what’s in place in Downtown Disney.
The Disneyland Resort has been closed since last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The park has struggled to reopen with California’s previous guidelines but with restrictions being lifted, Disneyland has an opportunity to reopen on a smaller, more controlled scale. Disneyland park will still remain closed.
Knott’s Berry Farm launched a similar food experience last year which allowed guests back to the park to stroll around and eat themed foods.
