After many delays and its 2021 cancelation, Coachella has will officially return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio on April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022.
Coachella was set for April 10-12 and 17-19, 2020 at the height of the closures due to the pandemic and had been hopeful it would take place later in the year. But as quarantine measures continued to be extended, the event scrapped plans and canceled events for 2021 to be able to return fully in 2022.
“We feel April is the right time for us to present the best experience,” Goldenvoice president and CEO Paul Tollett told The Desert Sun.
The lineup has not been confirmed yet so fans will have to wait and see if any 2020 performers will be included but will have a fresh set of artists to wait for. Per a statement with Billboard, the announcement was done without a lineup so festival-goers can plan ahead of time and use their payment plan option.
Stagecoach also announced their new festival dates taking place on April 29-May 1.
