Broadway’s ‘Hamilton,’ ‘Jagged Little Pill’ and More to Perform at the 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Broadway stars will reunite to illuminate the stage at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The parade’s new slim format given the pandemic will feature four special Broadway performances from the casts of Hamilton, Jagged Little Pill, Mean Girls, and Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations. The stage productions will be filmed ahead of the event with safety protocols in place and will air during the live broadcast on NBC.

The reimagined 2020 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will host no crowds nor will find floats, guests stars, or Santa parade down the Upper West Side. This year, the spectacle will be confined to one city block on 34th Street and be staged near Macy’s flagship Herald Square store.

Among the stars slated to appear are Hamilton’s Tony Award-winner Leslie Odom Jr., Patti LaBelle, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Radio City Rockettes, Tori Kelly, characters from Sesame Street, Keke Palmer, Dolly Parton, Pentatonix, Jordin Sparks, and more.
