Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani to Release New Song 'Happy Anywhere'

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are teaming up again, this time for the loving, feel-good tune “Happy Anywhere.” Written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, and Matt Jenkins, the song will release on Friday, July 24.

The song will make its TV debut on release day during the 8 a.m. hour of Shelton’s appearance on the TODAY Summer 2020 Citi Music Series (NBC).

“Even though Gwen and I just had a single out we decided that, under the circumstances, this year… man, there’s never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,’” Shelton said. “We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around. That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer – and this entire year.”

“Happy Anywhere” follows Shelton and Stefani’s Platinum-selling, multi-week chart-topper “Nobody But You.” Shelton’s 27th career No. 1, the “soaring power ballad” (Rolling Stone) has achieved nearly 150 million streams to date and more than 1.3 million track equivalents. The duet, featured on his massive Fully Loaded: God’s Country album, launched to No.1 on the iTunes country chart upon release and skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Country Streaming Songs chart. The duo performed the song on the 62nd Grammy Awards, a collaboration that Billboard described as “Shelton and Stefani [showering] the Staples Center with endless love.”

This summer Shelton has partnered with Encore Drive-In Nights to host a one-night-only concert event on July 25 with special guests Stefani and Trace Adkins.

“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe. I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans, and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new! So fill up those popcorn tubs and get ready for some country music,” said Shelton.
