- The K-pop girl group BLACKPINK accounts for over 48.8 million subscribers on YouTube, claiming the title of the second most subscribed artist on the platform.
Ahead of BLACKPINK’s first full-length album release next month, the K-pop act has achieved another historic milestone of becoming the second most subscribed artist on YouTube.
YG Entertainment confirmed Tuesday that the group’s official channel exceeds over 48.8 million subs, surpassing DJ Marshmello. Justin Bieber remains as the artist with the most subscribers on the video-sharing platform with over 57.2 million and counting.
BLACKPINK made their anticipated record-breaking comeback in August with the release of “How You Like That,” and shortly surpassed Ariana Grande, Eminem and Ed Sheeran in ranks on YouTube after the release of “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez.
BLACKPINK’s The Album and the music video for “Lovesick Girls” is slated to release on October 2, 2020. The album includes the chart-toppers “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream”. Netflix will also release the original documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky on October 14.
