- Bazarian has dropped the music video for his latest single "Sight Lines."
Toronto artist Bazarian has released the music video for his latest single “Sight Lines,” the title track of his upcoming debut EP due out June 12.
With the quarantine limiting resources, Bazarian used the resources available to direct and edit the video. The “Sight Lines” video features a cameo from co-vocalist Carmen Elle and help from cinematographer Adam Crosby.
Bazarian, a.k.a. Armen Bazarian has a decade long career composing and scoring ads for Amazon and Volkswagen, including films that have screened at SXSW and TIFF. Also working in the field of sound design, Bazarian has contributed to projects including Drake and Future’s recent “Life Is Good” music video.
In 2019, Bazarian temporarily moved to his ancestral home of Yerevan, Armenia for a writing retreat. During his time there, mass protests led to the overthrow of the country’s dictator of 20+ years. The music on Sight Lines drew from the energy of hope, optimism, and the potential for a brighter future of a country that has experienced nothing but heartache and suffering since the beginning of the 20th century.
The Sight Lines album expresses his time in Armenia and the emotions experienced from disconnection and finding identity.
