This year was unlike any other and Spotify’s Wrapped is here to help us take a look back at the music and a sundry of podcasts that accompanied us through these unprecedented times and helped us strengthen our connections with the world, with each other, and ourselves while providing us with hope.
Latin Grammy-winner and Grammy-nominated rapper Bad Bunny claimed the top spot as the most-streamed artist this year from fans around the world with more than 8.3 billion streams. Bad Bunny’s Grammy-nominated album YHLQMDLG released in late February also ranked as the most-streamed album followed by The Weeknd’s After Hours, Post Malone‘s Hollywood’s Bleeding, Harry Styles‘ Fine Line, and Dua Lipa‘s Future Nostalgia.
With over 1.9 million podcast titles on Spotify, the most-streamed podcasts this year were found in the society and culture genre, with The Joe Rogan Experience topping the list as the most popular podcast of 2020, followed by TED Talks Daily, The Daily, and coming at number four is the new series The Michelle Obama Podcast.
