‘And We Go Green’, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Electric Car Racing Documentary to Stream on Hulu

And We Go Green, an eco-friendly documentary about the rise of Formula E electric car racing to stream on Hulu in the U.S on June 4, 2020. Oscar-winning documentarian Fisher Stevens and director Malcolm Venville, in collaboration with producers Leonardo DiCaprio and RadicalMedia, showcase the rise of the international Formula E single-seater motorsport championship and the potential of electric cars to race and combat climate change and air pollution. The documentary glimpses into the intimate lives of Formula E’s professional race car drivers, and delivers exhilarating race footage on unique tracks across 10 major cities from the 2018/2019 season. The documentary raises environmental awareness and the opportunity of a thrill as the characters race for victory.

“Originally, we thought we were making a film about the environment,” said Stevens and Venville. “We realized the best way to get the world to pay attention to climate change is to make a film about people — in this case, race car drivers and an upstart with a vision to disrupt racing series forever.” And We Go Green is a follow-up documentary to DiCaprio and Stevens’ Before the Flood. The documentary had its debut at the 2019 Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals. “The documentary encapsulates the true mission and purpose of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, to show how competition drives technological development and how the excitement of sport can have a meaningful social impact and alter perceptions of electric vehicles,” said Formula E Founder and Chairman Alejandro Agag.

RadicalMedia’s CEO, Jon Kamen, adds “We’re thrilled this film is being distributed on the Hulu platform, as they’ve proven to be committed to not only premium nonfiction storytelling but a worthwhile cause to boot. It’s time for the world to embrace alternatives to the fossil fuel dilemma and to think ahead of ourselves in terms of a more positive future. And We Go Green paves the way.”
