Alfred Molina to Reprise Role as Doctor Octopus for MCU ‘Spider-Man 3’

Alfred Molina is reprising his role as the villain Doctor Octopus for the Marvel Spider-Man installment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Molina appeared in 2004’s Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 as Otto Octavius, a scientist who turns into the eight-limbed villain.

With no official name yet, Spider-Man 3 follows Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom Holland returns as the web-slinger joined by  Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori. Benedict Cumberbatch will also appear as Doctor Strange.

In October, Jamie Foxx was confirmed to return as Electro from the 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 adaptation which starred Andrew Garfield. With Molina and Foxx on board, Spider-Man 3 will bring together three different Spider-Man adaptations together.
