Following their showstopping debut with “Black Mamba,” rookie girl group aespa will be releasing their second single in collaboration with singer-songwriter Yoo Young Jin.
Winter, Karina, Ningning, and Giselle tell of a pure heart’s promise of eternal love in the reimagined version of Yoo Young Jin’s 2000 hit song “Forever” from the album Winter Vacation in SMTOWN.com. Contrasting the intense tones of “Black Mamba,” the new offering will be a warmer ballad complementing the winter season, arranged by Yoo Young Jin for the four members.
aespa’s breakout debut in November of last year found the girl group make K-pop history after their debut single entered US Billboard charts and topped China’s QQ Music charts and charts in 95 countries around the world, while setting the record of the fastest music video to reach 100 million views by a K-pop act. SM Entertainment’s new girl group was recently named this year’s “Rookie K-POP Group to Watch” by TIME magazine.
“Forever” will be out February 5 at 6PM KST on all major music platforms.
