A Nod to 80s Rock, Miley Cyrus and Fleetwood Mac Icon Stevie Nicks Drop ‘Midnight Sky’ Remix

A cultural reset and a nod to 80s rock, Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks teamed up to release a staggering remix of “Midnight Sky” by ways of Nicks’ 1982 single “Edge of Seventeen,” which served as the spiritual foundation of Cyrus’ chart-topping hit.

“Edge of Midnight” arrives ahead of the release of Cyrus’ seventh studio album Plastic Hearts on November 27. The collaboration blends elements from both iconic tracks as a form of tribute to Nicks, whom Cyrus claims to be her idol and inspiration.

“Midnight Sky” was first released in August and peaked at No. 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. In recent weeks, the artist has been releasing a number of rock covers, including her impressive rendition of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” that drew praise from Debbie Harry herself.
